Waiting

Waiting in the darkness

Eyes fixed on the unseen horizon

Waiting for the glimmer of hope

Waiting for the blazing glory of dawn

When the world will be renewed with light and life

Waiting for the way, the truth the life

The saviour to return and re-make everything

Healed, whole and free

This is the hope this dark world

is waiting for

But while we wait

Remember

Remember the living light

Remember he has already been born and lived amongst us

Remember he has walked the earth

And scattered sparks of light and life

Sparks that have kindled flames of love amongst his people today

Remember his foretaste and promise

Of the final truth to come

When He, Jesus will return

And fill the world with

Everlasting Hope
