community allotment

Tuesdays 9.15 am - 12.15 pm
Close to Hope House, Wensor Avenue, Beeston

Our Community Allotment is a huge space that was transformed from council wasteland thanks to the hard work of our volunteer team and with support from various corporate teams offering labour over the years, as well as businesses supporting us with free or discounted topsoil, bark and materials.  Each year the allotment develops more, in 2021 we had new poly tunnels and in 2022 an inspired watering system was built.  The site has an outdoor classroom which we would welcome local groups to use.
Tools, plants and materials are all provided for the group and food grown helps support our Community Food Club, Community Meal and the Foodbank.

HOPE friendship club

Tuesdays 2.15 pm - 3.45 pm
First and Third Tuesday of month is a planned event
Other weeks are drop in for a cuppa and chat

Meeting in the Main Hall at Hope House, we have hosted the Friendship Club for many years, taking on the running of it in 2020. The majority of members are over 50, but everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a varied programme of talks, entertainment and occasional outings, not forgetting that all important cuppa and a chat.  Historically, members have made a voluntary donation of £1.50 when attending, to help cover costs, but this isn't essential. Most important is to have the opportunity to meet others in a safe and welcoming space. Call us on 0303 040 1110 or email hope@hopenottingham.org.uk for further details.

HOPE community meal

Second Tuesday of each month 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm
'Pay only what you can afford!'

Inspired by members of our local community, our monthly community meal began in July 2022.  Our amazing team of volunteers, often also supported by local businesses, put on an amazing 2 course meal including both a meat and vegetarian/vegan option for each occasion.
Guests include community members, volunteers, staff, trustees and anyone who would like to join in!
To date our 'pay what you can' approach means that the local community is funding this venture, which brings people out of their homes to meet known or new friends in a welcoming and safe space.
